So as with last time, I've moved on to a new semi-addiction (mostly semi-addicted for the simple fact that I don't have much free time nowadays with my new job). I got my mom to teach me how to crochet, and I started making creatures similar to the ones in [link] <<<this book. Sadly, despite ~Beanamir82 sending me the crochet book I got when I went to visit her, I still haven't quite figured out how slip stitches are any different from normal ones... or how the hell double or triple crochet works. Oh well, I'm managing to make things up pretty well, and fortunately I haven't had to use much of that for the patterns I'm working on. I was going to start with one of the actual patterns in the book, but you know me, I rarely go exactly by the book, and I'm obsessed with video games and other such things... so I started trying to make zelda characters right off the bat. Not exactly the best idea when you have no idea what you're doing, but it seemed to work out alight after a few tries. I've now made a Midna who's hanging from the rear-view window in my car, and a link... who's looking really happy and has really awkward hair because I couldn't make the hat quite big enough. I'm working on a Sheik at the moment but I can't finish him until this weekend at the earliest because I don't have my felt with me (but I'm going home saturday to get it). Eventually I want to make as much of the zelda crew as possible (zelda, the 6 sages from OoT, Ganondorf, Zant, etc.) and I'm looking forward to making Ganondorf's cornrows of doom from TP. It'll also be interesting to try figuring out what to do with Zant's helmet, cause I'd rather not have to make it out of clay like I did with Midna's.

P.S. their chibi eyes are probably my favorite thing ^_^
